What it costs a UGC agency to answer every creator's comments in 2026

UGC agencies answer comments on every creator's Instagram and TikTok from one inbox. The tools, seat and account prices, and the limits to plan around.

By Demand Memo staff8 min read

UGC (user-generated content) agencies reply to comments across their creators' accounts from one unified inbox, a single list of every connected account's comments and messages. For a small agency, BetterSocials fits best, with 12 accounts and unlimited teammates on its Team plan for $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly. Agorapulse suits a staffed agency that budgets per person, and Sprout Social suits larger teams that budget per seat.

For an agency, the choice turns on how each tool charges. Per-seat tools grow with your headcount, plan-priced tools grow with your account count, and ManyChat grows with the number of people your creators reach.

What changes when every creator sits in one inbox?

BetterSocials, Agorapulse, Sprout Social and Hootsuite all replace the login-per-creator routine with one inbox. You connect each creator's account once, and their comments arrive in the same list as everyone else's. We took the cost question for this memo: what answering a roster costs by hand, per seat and per plan.

By hand costs nothing in software and costs you the switching. Each login is a pause, and a buyer's question waits in whichever account nobody has opened yet. Put every creator in one inbox, and buyers get answers while they still care.

One inbox turns the work into a queue. In BetterSocials, you open Needs reply, the view of comments and DMs still waiting for an answer, and approve comment drafts one at a time or with Approve in bulk. The AI writes those drafts in the account owner's voice, from a voice profile built from past replies.

Which tools answer comments across creator accounts in 2026, and what do they charge?

BetterSocials leads our list, which sorts by fit for a small agency answering comments for up to 12 creator accounts, because its price follows the plan and not the headcount. Prices are list prices as of October 2026, except Agorapulse's (July 2026) and Later's monthly rate (September 2026). A yearly figure is the monthly rate billed annually.

BetterSocials puts Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages in one inbox, with comments and DMs together and TikTok DM replies included. Team covers 12 accounts and unlimited teammates for $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly. Later, Pallyy, Vista Social, Sprout Social and Hootsuite read TikTok comments too, and the difference is the combination at a flat plan price.

Agorapulse fits a staffed agency at $79 per user a month on annual billing, and it pairs scheduling with an inbox. Sprout Social puts its inbox on Standard at $199 per seat a month, billed annually. Its per-seat price is built for teams.

Hootsuite includes its inbox from Standard at $99 per user a month, billed annually. Its inbox doesn't include YouTube comments, so creators who post Shorts need a second place to answer them.

Vista Social Professional is $99 a month, or $80 billed yearly, with two users, and it adds DM automations to its social inbox. Later's Conversations start on Growth and cover Instagram and Facebook DMs and comments plus TikTok comments, with no YouTube or LinkedIn conversations.

Pallyy's inbox starts on Pro at $25 a month, or $20 billed yearly. It covers Instagram and Facebook messages and comments, LinkedIn and TikTok comments and Google reviews, with no YouTube. ManyChat works on Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and TikTok and bills by active contacts, so its cost follows each creator's reach.

What can a tool answer on each creator's Instagram and TikTok?

Instagram and TikTok set the same limits for every tool, so no plan buys past them. Public comment replies on Instagram have no time limit. DMs do: a business can reply only within 24 hours of the person's last message, and each new message from them restarts the clock.

After 24 hours, Meta rejects the send no matter which tool you use, and you can still answer from the Instagram app itself. Comment-to-DM, where a keyword in a comment sends the commenter a DM with a link, follows a separate rule. Meta's private replies documentation says "Only one message can be sent to the Instagram user who commented. The message must be sent within 7 days from when the comment was created."

TikTok DMs are reply-only. A tool gets at most 10 replies within 48 hours of the person's last message, each reply is text up to 6,000 characters or one image, and the account must be a Business account. TikTok only lets apps answer DMs for accounts outside the UK and Europe.

A TikTok comment can't trigger a private DM in any tool, outside TikTok's limited rollout in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. In BetterSocials, a TikTok keyword posts a public reply with the link instead. YouTube has no DM API for any tool, so creators who also post Shorts get public replies there too.

Comments reach a tool fast on TikTok. TikTok's API documentation says its comment webhook sends "notifications within five minutes of a comment or reply being created."

How do you keep each creator's replies right?

BetterSocials keeps creators apart at the keyword level. Each keyword has an Accounts field, so it runs across every connected account or is pinned to one, and each account runs its own keywords. The right link reaches the right creator's fans.

AI rules are plain sentences you write, such as "never quote prices, send people to the booking link," and they apply to every draft and automatic reply. When the rules don't cover what someone asked, such as a price, a size or an order detail, the AI doesn't guess. The comment or DM waits for you in Needs reply.

Draft for me is the setting we'd use while an agency learns a new creator's voice. Every new comment or DM gets a draft the moment it arrives, and nothing posts until you approve it. Reply in my voice answers everyday comments 1 to 5 minutes later, and questions still wait unless you switch on Answer questions too.

Two more guards sit underneath. After five AI replies in one conversation in a day, the rest wait for you. Every AI reply also passes a filter that checks banned phrases, strips links where platforms punish them and caps length before it can send.

What does a 12-account roster cost with three people answering?

Agorapulse, Sprout Social and Hootsuite price their inboxes per person, so the bill follows your headcount. Our assumption is a small agency with three people answering comments for up to 12 creator accounts. The list below shows each monthly bill for that team.

  • Agorapulse is $79 per user a month on annual billing, so three people pay a little over two hundred dollars a month.
  • Hootsuite Standard is $99 per user a month, billed annually, so three people pay just under three hundred dollars a month.
  • Sprout Social Standard is $199 per seat a month, billed annually, so three seats come to close to six hundred dollars a month.
  • BetterSocials Team is $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for 12 accounts and unlimited teammates, so a fourth person costs nothing extra.

Pallyy and Later are cheaper than BetterSocials Team. Pallyy's inbox starts on Pro at $25 a month, or $20 billed yearly, and Later's Conversations start on Growth at $50 a month, or $37.50 billed yearly. Neither covers YouTube conversations, and Metricool reads YouTube comments even on its free tier, as of August 2026.

ManyChat bills by the people your creators reach. Pro is $39 a month with 2,500 active contacts, and each extra contact costs $0.05, billed monthly. A creator who reaches 4,000 people in a month pays the $39 plus $0.05 for each of the 1,500 extra contacts, a little over a hundred dollars, and BetterSocials counts no contacts on any plan.

What would we do with a roster of up to 12 creators?

BetterSocials Team is where we'd start a small UGC agency. It's $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for 12 accounts and unlimited teammates, invited by email from Settings, then Team. Every comment and DM lands in one Inbox, with Needs reply and Approve in bulk for the queue.

Lead detection is free and on by default. It tags questions about price, booking or availability as Lead and sends a push notification to the owner's phone. Keyword comment-to-DM sends the link by DM on Instagram and Facebook, and posts it as a public reply on TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages.

Every plan has a 7-day free trial, card required, and the BetterSocials pricing page lists all three plans. We'd connect the busiest creator first, run Draft for me for a week, and only then let everyday comments send on their own.

FAQ

What tool do UGC agencies use to reply to comments on all their creators' TikTok and Instagram accounts?

Agencies use a tool with a unified inbox, such as BetterSocials, Agorapulse, Sprout Social or Hootsuite. Each creator's account connects once, and every comment lands in one list. BetterSocials Team covers 12 accounts and unlimited teammates for $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, with AI drafts the team approves.

Can one inbox hold several Instagram and TikTok accounts?

Yes. BetterSocials connects several accounts on the same platform, up to the plan's count: 4 on Creator, 6 on Pro and 12 on Team. Each account connects separately and runs its own keywords, so one creator's settings never mix with another's.

Can a TikTok comment send a creator's fans a DM?

No. A TikTok comment can't trigger a private DM in any tool, outside TikTok's limited rollout in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. In BetterSocials, a TikTok keyword posts a public reply with the link instead. DMs that fans send first can be answered for 48 hours, up to 10 replies.

Does BetterSocials see a creator's password when we connect their account?

No. Each account connects by signing in on the platform's own screen, and you land back on Connected Accounts with the account listed. The password never touches BetterSocials, and one account takes under a minute to connect.

How much does it cost to manage 12 creator accounts?

BetterSocials Team is $99 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly, for 12 social accounts, unlimited teammates and 4,000 shared AI credits a month. Each AI reply or draft uses 1 credit, and when credits run out the AI pauses instead of charging more. Contacts, DMs, comments and keyword automations are unlimited, and nothing is billed per contact.

Will the AI reply on a creator's account without our approval?

Only if you turn that on. With Draft for me, every new comment or DM gets a draft and nothing posts until you approve it. With Reply in my voice, everyday comments get answered 1 to 5 minutes later and DMs about a minute after they arrive. Questions still wait in Needs reply unless you switch on Answer questions too, which needs at least one AI rule.
